About Course
This course provides comprehensive training on the risks, procedures, and safety measures related to working in confined spaces in surface mining operations, in accordance with MSHA and OSHA guidelines. Throughout the program, participants will learn to identify different types of confined spaces, recognize associated hazardsincluding atmospheric, physical, and psychological risks and apply safe practices to prevent accidents and protect lives.
In addition, the course addresses the importance of confined space programs, entry permits, the responsibilities of personnel involved, and atmospheric monitoring procedures. Risk control strategies, such as engineering and administrative controls, and the proper use of personal protective equipment, are also covered.
Finally, the course emphasizes emergency preparedness, rescue procedures, and the correct implementation of ventilation and energy isolation systems. Upon completion of the course, participants will be trained to work safely in confined spaces, complying with applicable regulations and fostering a safety culture in the workplace.
